Perfectly tender with a hint of heat, sweet potato chunks are super simple to cook in your air fryer or Ninja Foodi multi-cooker!
Jump to RecipeSweet potatoes are a great source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. They’re an especially good source of Vitamin A, which is important for immunity, eye health, reproduction, growth, and more! They’re also super easy to make in your air fryer or Ninja Foodi multi-cooker, and make an awesome side dish!

To prepare your sweet potato, I like to microwave mine first. Sweet potatoes can be really difficult to cut up, but if you microwave them for about a minute they’re so much easier to cut up! Slice your sweet potato into bite-sized pieces. You can leave them unpeeled, like I did, or you can peel them if you prefer. Toss your sweet potato chunks with olive oil, paprika, and ground black pepper until they’re well coated.
Add your sweet potato chunks to your air fryer basket in a single layer. They can overlap a little bit, but you don’t want your sweet potatoes to be too layered or they won’t cook properly.
Air fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 12 minutes, or until you can easily puncture the sweet potatoes with a fork. Shake the basket halfway through for even browning.
