French toast is one of my family’s favorite breakfast foods. It’s so easy to make, with simple ingredients, and endless toppings to customize it with! Today, I’m bringing back the nostalgia (did anyone else have French toast sticks on rotation for elementary school lunches??) with my Ninja Foodi French Toast Sticks.

All you need to do to prep this recipe is cut your Texas toast into thirds. Then, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon in a medium mixing bowl. And boom! You’re prepped and ready to go.

Spray the air crisper basket of your Foodi liberally with cooking spray. This will prevent the French toast sticks from sticking to the basket. Coat both sides of your Texas toast sticks with the egg mixture and place them in a single layer in the air crisper basket of your Ninja Foodi.

Set Foodi to ‘air crisp’ at 390 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes. If you want them less crispy, choose 8 minutes. For crispier French toast sticks, choose 10 minutes. Flip French toast sticks halfway through cooking for even browning.

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 slices Texas toast or other thick-cut bread cut into thirds
  • Cooking spray
  • Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until combined.
  • Spray air crisper basket liberally with cooking spray. Coat both sides of Texas toast sticks with egg mixture and place in a single layer in air crisper basket in Ninja Foodi.
  • Set Foodi to 'air crisp' at 390 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes (for less crispy French toast sticks, use 8 minutes; for crispier French toast sticks, use 10). Flip French toast halfway through for even browning.
  • Serve with maple syrup or your other favorite topping!

Notes

  • Store any leftovers in an airtight glass container or silicone food storage bag in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-3 minutes.
  • Depending on the size of your Foodi or air fryer and how many French toast sticks you're making, you may need to air crisp in multiple batches. Keep finished French toast sticks in the oven at 200 degrees Fahrenheit to keep warm while cooking other batches.
  • Safety first! I love using my silicone oven mitts and silicone tongs to keep myself safe when cooking with my Ninja Foodi.
