Strawberry Basil Smoothie

This strawberry basil smoothie is a delicious and unique combination.  Fresh, flavorful, and aromatic with just the right amount of sweetness.

Strawberry and basil are a match made in heaven!  The sweetness of strawberries pairs beautifully with the slightly peppery flavor of basil.  Trust me, this isn’t some boring smoothie combo.  And it’s super easy to throw together for a fresh, refreshing, summery drink!

Best of all, it takes all of two seconds to throw this recipe together.  Just add everything to your blender and blend it up!

Blend for about a minute, or until smooth.  Scrape the sides of your blender with a spatula to make sure there are no clumps of basil left un-blended.

And there you have it, your strawberry basil smoothie is ready to sip on and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil loosely packed
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth, about 1 minute.

Notes

  • To make vegan, use your favorite plant-based yogurt instead of Greek yogurt.
  • Use agave nectar or your other favorite liquid sweetener instead of honey, if desired.
