Energy balls, protein balls, whatever you want to call them–I love them! They’re SO easy to make, and are a quick grab-and-go snack that’s actually satiating. They’re perfect for a work or school snack, or even an on-the-run breakfast!

You only need 5 ingredients, and about 15 minutes to throw these energy balls together! Simply mix together all the ingredients: rolled oats, almond butter, shredded coconut, honey, and mini chocolate chips.

Make sure you thoroughly mix all the ingredients–there’s not a lot of wet ingredients, so they need to be fully mixed together in order to stick everything together into a ball.

Then, roll the dough into about 1 inch balls. If your dough is getting crumbly, or is difficult to work with, try warming it between your hands for a few seconds.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut unsweetened
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a bowl, and stir to combine.
  • Roll dough into approximately 1 inch balls.
  • Store balls in refrigerator.

Notes

  • Energy balls can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or frozen for up to 3 months.
  • Energy balls can be left at room temperature, if desired, but keep best and last longer when refrigerated.
  • If the dough isn’t sticking together very well, warm it in your hands for a few seconds and it should soften up enough to form a ball.
