Jump to RecipeI love a good sweet and savory flavor pairing, and this honey garlic shrimp definitely comes through for that! With a simple marinade and a quick cook time, these shrimp are the perfect easy protein option for a busy weeknight dinner.

To make the marinade, simply whisk together the garlic, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, and fresh ginger in a small bowl.
Coat the shrimp in the honey garlic marinade and let marinate in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. The longer you let them marinate, the stronger the flavor will permeate in the shrimp.
When you’re ready to cook, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Once heated, pour the shrimp and excess marinade into the skillet.
Cook shrimp for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until it’s pink and cooked through.

Honey Garlic Shrimp
Ingredients
- 1 lb raw shrimp peeled, deveined, tails removed
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp fresh ginger grated
Instructions
- Whisk together garlic, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, and fresh ginger to make a marinade.
- Marinate shrimp for at least 2 hours (overnight is best) in an airtight glass container.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and pour shrimp and excess marinade into skillet. Cook shrimp for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until shrimp is pink and cooked through.
Notes
- Store any leftovers in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days.
