Jump to RecipeStuffed peppers in our Ninja Foodi have easily found their way onto our weekly dinner menu. They’re just so easy to throw together on those nights when we’re contemplating staying in or grabbing takeout. Seriously, we’ve saved so much $$ by making this recipe a regular in our house!

You can even prep the filling for these peppers in advance, and refrigerate it until you’re ready to cook! We’ve done this in the past and cut the amount of time we spent cooking in half! Definitely a perk if you know you’re going to have a really busy evening.
To make the filling, start by heating some vegetable oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and brown until cooked through and no longer pink, or about 3-5 minutes.
Drain any excess grease in the skillet, and add your browned beef back to the pan. Add the green onions, garlic salt, dried sage, and ground black pepper and saute for 1-2 minutes.
Then, add the tomato sauce and cooked white rice. Stir everything together gently until evenly incorporated. Remove your skillet from the heat.
Spoon half of the filling into each bell pepper, and place the stuffed peppers into the air crisper basket of your Ninja Foodi.
Close the lid, and set your Foodi to ‘air crisp’ at 355 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 minutes. After the 8 minutes are over, sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of each pepper.
Air crisp at 355 degrees Fahrenheit for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown. Remove from the Foodi using tongs and serve immediately for best results. Be careful, they’ll be hot! I like to cut mine in half to help it cool more quickly before eating.

Notes
- Mix it up by trying a different protein like shredded chicken, ground pork, or even plant-based crumbles. You can even change up the grain with brown rice, quinoa, barley, etc. We've also used this recipe with red or yellow bell peppers as well, so try out new combos to keep it interesting!
- Feeding more people? You can easily scale this recipe! Keep in mind that the average Foodi can fit 3-4 peppers, so you may have to air crisp in multiple batches if you're feeding a bigger crowd.
- Make this recipe even quicker by prepping the beef and rice filling in advance. You can easily refrigerate the filling for up to 3-5 days and then just stuff the peppers and air crisp when you're ready!
- Safety first! I love using my silicone oven mitts and tongs to keep myself safe while using my Foodi.
