Place sweet potato strips into a bowl and cover with cold water. Soak for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain the water and pat fries dry.
Toss sweet potato fries with olive oil, salt, ground black pepper, paprika, and chili powder.
Place sweet potato fries into crisper basket, in a single layer, and 'air crisp' in Foodi at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes. Shake basket halfway through for even browning.
Add a few more minutes if you prefer them browner and more crispy, or remove a couple minutes early if you prefer them less brown. Remove and serve immediately for best results.
Notes
Air crisping in a single layer is important to get the fries nice and crispy. Depending on the size of your Ninja Foodi or air fryer you may need to air crisp in multiple batches. Turn your oven on at 200 degrees Fahrenheit to keep fries warm in between batches.
Store any leftovers in an airtight glass container in the fridge for up to 3-5 days. Reheat in air fryer at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 3-5 minutes.
Safety first! I love using silicone oven mitts and silicone tongs to keep myself safe while using my Ninja Foodi.
