Fresh and zesty, this avocado marinade locks in moisture for tender, juicy chicken, fish, beef, or pork.
Jump to RecipeI’m always on a quest to make chicken less boring, which means this isn’t my first foray into marinade territory. Honestly, a good marinade can really up the flavor factor on even the saddest cut of meat. I especially love using this avocado marinade with chicken, since the thickness of it (thanks to the avocado) really traps the moisture in your meat. Dry, boring chicken? Not here, thanks!

This marinade is a breeze to whip up quick in your food processor. Just make sure you have a really ripe avocado so that it gets nice and smooth in the marinade.
Seriously, I don’t think I could’ve made this recipe much simpler. Puree everything in your food processor for a few minutes, scraping down the sides as needed. You’re done when the marinade has a smooth, even consistency.
It will be thick in comparison to most marinades, but this really helps trap the moisture in whatever cut of meat you decide to use it on. Personally, I love using this marinade with chicken since chicken is so easy to dry out. This marinade really helps prevent that from happening, so you end up with super moist and juicy chicken with minimal effort.
Use with chicken, fish, beef, pork, or even as a sauce with your pre-cooked protein of choice. Use immediately, or store in an airtight glass container for up to 3-5 days.
