The perfect crispy fish, easy to throw together in your Ninja Foodi or air fryer.
Jump to RecipeIt’s fishing season! Since we live in Minnesota (the land of 10,000 lakes), there’s ample opportunity for us to go out on the lake and catch some fresh fish. In anticipation of all the fish we’ll be eating this summer, I created this delicious and simple Ninja Foodi fish recipe. It makes the most perfect crispy fish, and is so easy to throw together!

Before you bread the fish, you’ll want to make sure that it’s patted dry. Then, place the olive oil in one bowl and mix together the breadcrumbs and seasonings in another bowl.
To bread the fish, first coat it in olive oil and then the seasoned breadcrumb mixture.
Place the breaded fish, in a single layer, into the crisper basket of your Foodi. Set Foodi to ‘air crisp’ at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 8 minutes. Flip the fish halfway through for even browning.
Depending on the size of your Foodi or air fryer, you may need to air crisp in multiple batches. Turn your oven on at 200 degrees Fahrenheit to keep your fish warm in between batches.
Remove from your Ninja Foodi and serve immediately for best results. Enjoy!

Ninja Foodi Fish
Ingredients
- 1 lb cod, tilapia, or other white fish of choice patted dry
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- Place olive oil in a small bowl. In a separate bowl, mix together bread crumbs, garlic salt, paprika, dried thyme, and ground black pepper. Coat fish in olive oil and then bread crumb mixture.
- Place breaded fish, in a single layer, into crisper basket in Foodi. Set Foodi to 'air crisp' at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 8 minutes, flipping once halfway through. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Depending on the size of your Ninja Foodi or air fryer, you may need to air crisp in multiple batches. Turn your oven on at 200 degrees Fahrenheit to keep fries warm in between batches.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight glass container in the fridge for up to 3-5 days. Reheat in air fryer at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 3-5 minutes.
- Safety first! I love using silicone oven mitts and silicone tongs to keep myself safe while using my Ninja Foodi.
